The effect of the rules will be to align administrative rule with HB 1220 that passed in the 2024 legislative session and limits the time period for filing and appeal of a hearing decision, add clarifying language for due process complaint and the thirty-day resolution period, and make recommended form and style changes. The reason for adopting the proposed rules is to align with the appeal window in codified law and to make updates for consistent reference to due process complaints and the 30-day resolution period.
