70:01:02:49 – Meade County speed zone rule; 70:01:02:62 – Union County speed zone rule; and 70:06:03:02 -- Audits

The South Dakota Transportation Commission will be considering whether to change the speed limit on State Trunk Highway 79 in Meade County in connection with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The commission will also consider whether to eliminate a reduced speed zone on State Trunk Highway 48 in and around Spink. Finally, the commission is amending a rule relating to transit grant audits. The amendment will eliminate an outdated state law reference. The purpose of the proposed speed zone rule changes is to enhance safety. The purpose of the proposed audit rule amendment is to ensure the rule correctly identifies the law implemented by the rule.
