The effect of the rules will be to revise criteria pertaining to attendance, coursework readiness, exiting the English learner program, comprehensive and targeted support designation calculations, and to clarify and update language. The reason for adopting the proposed rules is to provide clarity and ensure that these calculation changes align with the recently approved amendments to the ESEA State Plan.
