Economic Assistance - Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) program

The proposed rule change effect will be to update the length of coverage for the Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) program from eight months to twelve months for eligible refugees with entry dates on or after October 1, 2021. The length of coverage is mandated by the Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, who announced this change on March 28, 2022. The RMA program is entirely federally funded. The law implemented is also being updated throughout the Chapter.
