70:14:01:01 -- Definitions
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is amending the definitions section of its rules concerning state highway fund loans for local governments. Under the current rules, only cities and counties are included in the definition of local government. The department proposes to amend the definition of local government to include townships. The proposed rule change will allow townships to directly apply for state highway fund loans for the marking, constructing, reconstructing, repairing, and maintenance of township highways and bridges.
