70:01:02:49 - Meade County limited speed zone rule.
It is proposed that the beginning date for a temporary 35 mph limited speed zone on SD Highway 34 from Blanche Street in Sturgis, then east for 3.8 miles be moved back to July 24 each year because of increased motorcycle traffic the week before the start of the official Rally week. It is proposed that the beginning date for a temporary 45 mph limited speed zone on SD Highway 79 beginning at its junction with SD Highway 34, then north 1.5 miles be moved back to July 24 each year due to increased motorcycle traffic the week before the official start of Rally week.
