Division of Insurance Workers' Compensation Rules

The reason these rules are being proposed is to implement HB 1105, passed during the 2015 legislative session, which allows an independent contractor to sign an affidavit of exempt status. The affidavit will help clarify that a general contractor is not required to carry workers' compensation insurance for independent contractors.
