70:01:02:24- Dewey County speed zone rule. The South Dakota Department of Transportation has received a petition from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council to lower the speed limit from 55 miles per hour to 45 miles per hour on U.S. Highway 212 in and around LaPlant, South Dakota. The speed zone change is requested to enhance safety. 70:01:02:44- Lincoln County speed zone rule. A proposed rule change would extend the 45 miles per hour speed zone on U.S. Highway 18 west of West Street in Canton, South Dakota. The purpose of this speed zone change is to enhance safety. 70:01:02:57 – Spink County speed zone rule. A 50 mile per hour speed zone is proposed on State Trunk Highway 20 in Spink County, beginning 0.52 mile west of U.S. Highway 281, then east 0.58 mile. The purpose of this speed zone change is to enhance safety.
