Article 24:28 (Educator Certification)

The effect of the rules will be to update certification rules to accurately reflect recent changes to state statute, create a new educator permit, and update existing rules to address identified barriers. The reason for adopting the proposed rules is to create additional flexibilities for educator certification, including creation of an inactive certificate, updates to the military spouse rules so they align with state statute, update rules to reactive an invalid certificate, and update existing rules to better clarify or address barriers.
